Sheng Mai San from Treasure of the East is a classical Chinese herbal formula in concentrated 5:1 granules (100g bottle), also known as Ginseng & Schisandra Formula.
This foundational formula tonifies Qi, nourishes Yin, generates fluids, astringes sweating, and restores the pulse. In modern Western terms, it supports healthy energy levels and fluid balance, helps maintain cardiovascular and respiratory function during depletion, promotes recovery from heat-related exhaustion, and assists with comfort in patterns of Qi and Yin deficiency—making it particularly useful for patterns of Qi and Yin deficiency (especially of the Lung and Heart) due to warm-heat, summer-heat, or prolonged illness, such as shortness of breath, fatigue, spontaneous sweating, dry mouth/throat with thirst, dry cough with little sputum, mental fatigue, palpitations, or a weak, thready, or empty pulse, commonly seen in post-viral fatigue, chronic cough with depletion, recovery from fever/heat-stroke, or supportive care in cardiovascular conditions with Qi/Yin damage in TCM terms.
Treasure of the East specializes in full-spectrum, water-based herbal extracts produced by Tianjiang Pharmaceutical, using premium, tested botanicals to preserve active compounds and energetic properties. Their products emphasize purity with no artificial additives.
Key Ingredients (classical composition):
- Ren Shen / Bai Shen (Ginseng Root) – strongly tonifies Qi and generates fluids.
- Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogon Root) – nourishes Yin, moistens the Lung, and clears mild heat.
- Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra Fruit, processed) – astringes Lung Qi, tonifies Yin, and stops excessive sweating.
Preparation suggestion: Mix 4.5 g (or as directed) in hot water and drink as tea, 2–3 times daily, or as otherwise directed by your healthcare professional.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Seal tightly after opening.
This product contains no preservatives or artificial additives. Use under the guidance of your practitioner—this provides classical, effective support for Qi and Yin deficiency patterns involving fatigue, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, dry mouth, and related depletion or recovery concerns in a professional setting.
